Sophia Meierding, LICSW

My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by a deep belief in resilience! The idea that we have the ability to keep moving forward even in tough times. Early in my career I saw how challenges can weigh on people but also how much strength shows up in those moments. My goal is to create a space where people feel safe to explore, heal, and grow. What I find most rewarding are the small but powerful wins, like when someone notices they’re being kinder to themselves or finally feels a little lighter.

I draw from different approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused work, psychodynamic therapy, and emotion-focused techniques, always through a trauma-informed and client-centered lens. What that really means is that I meet you where you’re at and use the tools that fit your needs. Together we look at how past experiences and patterns may be shaping what you’re going through now, and we work toward breaking unhelpful cycles so you can move forward with more clarity and self-understanding. My style is warm and collaborative, and I want you to feel truly seen, supported, and empowered as we navigate whatever you’re facing.

Therapy with me is more than just conversation. It’s a partnership in growth, healing, and transformation. If you’re looking for a therapist who values authenticity, connection, and meaningful change, I’d love to see if we’d be a good fit!
